When did movies become so violent? Extreme blood and gore. Needless proving of skin. Anything offensive, repulsive, and filled with brutality simply to keep eyeballs on the screen.

But movies weren`t constantly by doing this. Not too long ago, we sat down with the whole household and a bowl of popcorn for film night. Everybody in the house looked forward to it. Feature films drew us into a communal experience, which meant sharing a laugh, a motivation, and maybe even a tearful moment with those around you.

Here at Billabunny Productions, an independent film production company with a ridiculous name, we remember taking pleasure in movies together with the household. How seeing motion pictures with your kids meant engaging with them in a sincere or amusing conversation. (Hey, they may even ask you a question, if you`re lucky!) It also meant learning more about what actually occurred at school when no adults were around. (“Yes, mother, kids actually do act that way.”) Getting lost in the cinema meant sharing time together, something that became more elusive with each passing year.

Today, households don`t enjoy programs together much any longer, which burns us out. Everybody, mother and father consisted of, has their own mini screen to enjoy whatever they desire on. And while we will not inform you to put away your phone (hey, you most likely have it in your hand right now) we will inform you just how much we miss the valuable time together that household films when allowed.

And do you know what? We wager you miss it, too. We listen to the chatter and rumblings of those around us and on social networks. It seems that nearly everybody has burnt out of shock worth in movies for shock worth`s sake. Much like you, we scroll through limitless titles on video streaming services and lament that there`s nothing to enjoy with the kids.

That`s why we produced Billabunny, a full-service, movie-making company. Headquartered in Reno, Nevada, Billabunny produces feature films that captivate, delight, and encourage without the brutality, sex, and general offensiveness you find in today`s flicks. We provide dramas and funnies that everybody under your roofing system can take pleasure in together on the cinema. Our story-driven pictures aim to get your heart pumping, make you feel inspired, and maybe even put a swelling in your throat. Think household classics along the lines of Rudy, Karate Kid, and Home Alone.

But don`t stress, director and author, Jonathan Moch, and manufacturer and star, Kate Barnett, bring more to than aspirations and ambitions. Though they just recently formed Billabunny, the two have actually remained in the movie-making industry since 2011. From feature films to shorts, Jonathan and Kate have more than a dozen titles and credits to their name in addition to more than a few acknowledgments. They also own and handle Good Knight Pictures, a business and entertainment production company.

What are they dealing with now? Billabunny`s first full-length feature film, Playing the Crease, informs the story of a not likely relationship that establishes against the background of today`s high school experience. In facing life`s obstacles, hockey goalie, David, and recovering stroke victim, Miss Schafer, discover that what they need to get rid of these challenges can be discovered in the most not likely of places.

Offer us a ring at 303-578-6079 for more information about Billabunny`s films, productions, and what story concepts we have in the works. Or hey, inform us what you think of bringing household movies back. Excellent concept? Let us know.
